Pen and Ink, Ink Wash. A fun Illustration of Abraham Lincoln and Bigfoot having tea out in the middle of a forest.

“Dorian and his Portrait”
Ink and Ink Wash. After finishing The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, I was inspired to illustrate how I imagined the contrast between Dorian’s youthful appearance and the decay hidden in the painting. I focused especially on his expression, which is why it is the most detailed.

“The Witchfinder-General Foils the Plot! (Ink)”
Pen and ink. This is a Virgil Finlay inspired recreation of a piece I made with markers a while ago. This is a fantastical illustration of Matthew Hopkins (1620-1647), who was a famous English witch hunter, popularly known as the Witchfinder General. Acrylic and Digital. A painting of a human-like spider in a jar eating a cow, while a scientist with a spider’s head observes.

“Woe to Those”
Watercolor and colored pencil. Inspired by Isaiah 5:20, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” A role-reversal painting of an alternate reality where the game animals hunt humans! You can see the buffalo and deer relaxing in front of a fire place, and above the mantle hangs a

“The Ningen and the Whale”
Ink wash and graphite. An illustration of friendship. This is my depiction of a ningen, a Japanese cryptid. The creature is alleged to be similar to both a man and a whale; with white skin, arms and hands, and the body of a whale. I imagine the ningen here as friends with the whale.
