Absalom for King!

This is a satirical ‘Op-Ed‘ written after Prince Absalom’s coup against King David, as described in 2 Samuel 15.  Penned by Ahitophel, the advisor of King David, the piece draws from the events described in 2 Samuel 13-16 in order to better understand why David’s faithful advisor would decide to throw his support behind the king’s rebellious son.

My Encounter with the King

This story is written from the perspective of the Witch of Endor, a medium consulted by King Saul during wartime in order to speak to the dead prophet Samuel. It is based primarily off of the events recorded in 1 Samuel 28.
